What are the talks about?

The climate talks in Poznan, Poland are an important milestone towards an international climate agreement.

This is due to be finalised in December 2009 in Copenhagen.

The agreement will look at how we can increase global efforts to:

• Reduce greenhouse gases.
• Avoid dangerous climate change.
• Support sustainable development.

What will be discussed?

The talks will focus on:

• Cutting carbon dioxide emissions
  Who needs to do what, by when and how.
• Support from the developed world
  How poorer countries will be supported to cope with the effects of climate change.
• Access to technology
  How all countries can use existing clean technologies.
